Chinmaya Mission : Sadhana Day was held in Sripaadakshetra, J P Nagar, in the holy presence of Swami Brahmananda.  Over 250 study group members participated, who were divided into ten groups. Each group discussed two lines of the 20-line shlokas for about an hour.  The group coordinators presented summaries of the discussions, reflecting the sincerity, dedication, and depth with which the members had been studying the text for the past three months.  Swami Brahmananda summarized the text, stating that the 40 shlokas represent the essence of teachings in the Upanishads.  He emphasized that even if we can follow one of them and sincerely practice it in our lives, peace of mind along with a sense of contentment and fulfillment is sure to blossom.  He highlighted the importance of transcending body identification and understanding that joy and peace cannot be achieved from the outer world; rather, it is our true nature that needs to be understood, recognized, and lived in this very life.
